Update:

Math
We are wrapping up our investigation of adding and subtracting with integers, although these will come up again in our next topic of study. Our new topic of study is Order of Operations.  Students are building on their knowledge from last year and adding in exponents.

Science
We will be finishing our Coulee Study next week and moving into our Planet Earth topic.  Students will be exploring how the Earth has changed over time.

Humanities
We are continuing our study of Canadian citizenship and identity.  Students have been developing their ability to take surface level questions deeper by looking at "follow-up questions".
Students have also been exploring different forms of poetry including Haiku, Free Form and Diamantes. Both studies have asked the students to look at language, symbols and imagery.
